Ankara Queer Art Program will showcase a selection of works from their residents/alumni with a curatorial approach in SANATORIUM’s Spring Call exhibition which is set to be open in early March 2023!

SANATORIUM will host Ankara Queer Art Program in inaugural of our new annual program, Spring Call: Invitation for Independent Art Organizations. This year Mari Spirito, Executive Director, Curator of Protocinema serves as a juror to provide guidance.

Ankara Queer Art Program - Artist Residecy hosts visual artists from Turkey and abroad in Ankara every year, focuses on the possibilities of artistic expression of queer politics and new possibilities. The program provides artists with 8 weeks of both living and working space while supporting and promoting production and research processes. During this time, artists have the opportunity to work with artists, activists, academicians, and curators from Turkey and hold meet-and-greet meetings for possible collaborations with different art fields.
