Antalya Women’s Platform: Pride march is a constitutional right and banning such right is unlawful.

Antalya Women’s Platform has condemned the governorate’s ban on Antalya Pride march. Platform made a press release in their center in Antalya and said “Ban all the bans!”.

In their statement, Women’s Platform said:

“LGBTI+s have existed, do exist and continue existing! This year, Antalya Pride Events planned to be organized third time have been banned just half an hour before the event starts. Governorate also banned any other event condemning the ban and this is completely unlawful”.

“Antalya Governorate obviously violates human rights by banning any condemnation of the ban. Pride march is a constitutional right and banning such right is unlawful. Nobody has right to intervene our freedom of expression.

“During pride week, we will continue bring rainbow wherever we go and increasing the visibility of LGBTI+s. Don’t forget, we are everywhere! We are lawyers in courthouses, doctors in hospitals, teachers in schools, passengers on train, workers at hotels! Every street is us, every house is us and every color of rainbow is us!”
