Getting ready for March 8: Take streets with ‘girl friendship’

 

Lesbians, bisexual women and trans women are calling for a March 8th preparation meeting by saying that “Bread and roses are not enough. We are getting ready to take the streets with “girl friendship”.

 

The text of the invitation to the meeting, which will be held on February 14th at 4pm in the Kaos Cultural Center is as below:

 

 

“Bread and roses are not enough, we demand dance, we demand love. We are getting ready to take the streets with ‘girl friendship’ of lesbian, trans and queer feminism.

 

“Lesbians, bisexual women, the ones who expanded, obscured and shifted the meaning of being ‘woman’ start their preparations for March 8th.

 

“Activities and projects to be conducted for March 8th International Women’s Day will be discussed in the meeting which is open to the attendance and contributions of all women against homophobia and transphobia.

 

“The meeting, where the posters, slogans and songs will be chosen, is on February 14th in Kaos Cultural Center at 4pm.

 

“We are looking forward to meeting all women against homophobia and transphobia for their suggestions, opinions and contributions.”
