Belgrade Pride Parade has announced May 22 that the Belgrade Pride 2012 will be held from September 30th to October 7th. For the first time the Pride has the form of 8-days festival, with a lot of daily activities and Pride March on October 6th as a part of manifestation. Slogan for this year is “Love, Faith, Hope” as the program coincides with the Orthodox religious holiday “Faith, Hope and Charity”.

In Belgrade, there had been two Pride Parades under circumstances of extreme violence in 2001 and 2010. One Pride was cancelled by the organizers in 2004 and two Prides were banned by the authorities in 2009 and 2011, which all indicates the social climate of the LGBT community environment.
