Meet one of the selected artists of the Ankara Queer Art Program Artist Residency, Banu Çiçek Tülü.

The selected participants of the Ankara Queer Art Program - Artist Residency, organized by Kaos GL, have been announced. The program plans to host visual artists both from Turkey and worldwide at Ankara.
Banu Çiçek Tülü is an artist, independent researcher and DJ with a background in urban design, born in South-East Turkey, currently based in Berlin. Her practice-based artistic approach focuses mainly on collective listening, sonic environment, auditory perception, and spatial practice of sound.
She produces artistic work including participatory and interdisciplinary methodologies in order to connect with communities. Her recent works propose the "queering the urban space" idea which is grounded in feminist, decolonial, and design theories. She is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Hamburg Fine Arts University granted by the Heinrich Böll Foundation. She is a lecturer at the Humboldt University, Berlin.
