Sandıklı Justice and Development Party (AKP)-led Mayor Mustafa Çöl, found sharing of the singer by picking through her social media accounts and he got the concert cancelled. Çöl confessed the censorship on his social media accounts as follows:

“To the attention of Sandıklı and our beloved nation;

Based on my personal research, our event scheduled for  August 11, 2023 has been cancelled due to the invited singer’s posts containing LGBT support and slander against our president.

As we always say, WE ARE THE CHILDREN OF THIS NATION.

WE HAVE NEVER ACCEPTED AND WE WILL NEVER APPROVE ANYONE who harms our President and our sacred values!

Let alone hosting  those, who posts such content on stage in Sandıklı, they shall not even  SET FOOT on the borders of our district!

To the attention of our beloved Nation!”
