The speakers took the name of Kaos GL Association in vain with their destructive words, which consist of vandalism even by the title, at the İzmir step of anti-LGBTI+ hate rallies.
The state was called for duty with the request of “legal regulation against LGBT imposition and propaganda” at the İzmir leg of hate rallies targeting the existence and right to life of LGBTI+s.
Representatives from Vatan (Patriot) Party, the Provincial Head of Saadet Party (Felicity Party) and the Konak District Head of Justice and Development Party participated in the “Meeting” which was held in İzmir Konak Square, on Sunday November 6. According to the news coverage of Aydınlık newspaper, İzmir Provincial Director of National Education and İzmir Mufti were also attended the “meeting”, “in addition to politicians”.
İzmir step of anti-LGBTI+ hate rallies, which started in İstanbul Saraçhane district in September, under the name of “Great Family Meeting”, and declared with the disinformation “LGBT imposition” was organized on behalf of “İzmir Great Family Platform”. “LGBT Take Your Dirty Hands off Our Children” and “Say Stop to LGBT Imposition for Humanity and Children” were among the banners unfurled at the hate rally.
The name of “İzmir Great Family Platform” was also heard in late October, just as Trabzon Family Solidarity Platform, which organized the anti-LGBTI+ march in Trabzon, sprung out one week before the hate march.
“İzmir Great Family Platform” announced the “İzmir Great Family Meeting against LGBTI Imposition” in Konak Square through Republican Women Association (CKD). The Chair of Republican Women Association called for “İzmir Great Family Meeting Against LGBTI Imposition” on one hand, and on the other hand she said that human rights were “bluff / deception” and “the danger we face is the imperialism patented ideological imposition”.
