Young LGBTI+ Association, fighting for LGBTI+ rights in İzmir, distributed Turkish donuts for charity at the death anniversary of Hande Buse Şeker and the 40th Day of Berrak Yılmaz.
Association announced the event as: “We continue to demand that the perpetrators who killed Hande Buse and Berrak, to be judged fairly and clearly and to be penalized on the upper limit by investigating the hate motive behind. We do not want to lose another friend and we know that trans murders are political and can be prevented.”
Hande Buse Şeker, sex worker trans woman living in İzmir, had been killed by police officer Volkan Hicret on January 9, in 2019 at her home. And Berrak Yılmaz had been in the attack in front of Basmane railhead on November 27, in 2021, in İzmir.
