Street musician Melis Yağmur Hanzade was exposed to a hate attack in Alsancak. Local LGBTI+ organization Direnişin Renkleri announced that Melis was better and they would be a close follower of the legal process.
According to the information provided by Direnişin Renkleri (Colors of Resistance) İzmir, musician Melis Yağmur Hanzade was exposed to a transphobic hate attack on Saturday evening, December 3. Having threatened Melis Yağmur by saying, “I will seal you off from these streets.” the attacker assaulted her.
Melis Yağmur, who has shared that she was kept waiting for hours at the police station before taking her testimony after being sutured on the face at the hospital, is better now and she says that she is going to seek her right. Direnişin Renkleri İzmir will be a close follower of the legal process.
