Sportif Lezbon, Kaos GL and UniKuir participated in the friendly match organized as part of the International Women’s Day Equality and Awareness Month Program.
As part of the International Women’s Day Equality and Awareness Month Program, the Equality Unit of Çankaya Municipality organized a friendly match involving participants from KASFAD, Pedallayan Kadınlar (Cycling Women), Sportif Lezbon, Kaos GL, and UniKuir associations, as well as other non-governmental organizations.
The event commenced on March 21 with the panel titled “The Role of Local Governments in Equality in Sports” at the Çankaya Municipality Contemporary Arts Center. Following the panel, a friendly soccer match took place, where mixed teams comprised of municipality employees and civil society representatives competed. As the players stepped onto the field under the banner “We are together to strengthen equality and hope”, they were met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
After the match, trophies were awarded by Çankaya Municipality to the participants. As the game concluded with a tie, the banner proclaiming “We are together to strengthen equality and hope”, was unfurled once again, symbolizing the event’s conclusion.
