We have learned that Suna Sözer, volunteer of Queer Olympix and SPoD, has passed away in the earthquake. We are sorry to hear of our loss.
We have learned that Suna Sözer, volunteer of Pazar Sohbetleri /Mesafesiz Sohbetler (Sunday Talks / Close Conversations) carried out by Queer Olympix and Social Policy, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD), has passed away in the Maraş-centered earthquake on February 6. We are sorry to hear of our loss.
Queer football team Atletik Dildoa posted a message for Suna on their social media accounts:
“Dear Suna, our comrade! Our friend who works voluntarily in dozens of fields with her great heart and joy… Last summer at Queer Olmypix 2022, you bound up our wounds, great and small, on the field. We will always remember you with your big smile which warms the cockles of our heart, and we will raise the struggle you have worked for, all together for you as well.”
