Volkan A., murderer of  trans woman Buse who was killed at her home in Bakırköy last week, was caught.

Volkan A., murderer of trans woman Buse who was killed at her home in Bakırköy, Istanbul by 7 stabs, was caught.

Her friends, who could not reach her, went to the home where Buse lived on 4th of March. Her friends had locksmith open the door to see Buse had lost her life due to transphobic hate crime when no one answered. Buse’s friends called police.

During the investigation, it was determined that Buse had lost her life due to a stab in her chest, waist and 7 other stabs in rest of her body. Officers that started investigation about hate murder investigated security cameras and phone records.

After the investigation, Volkan A, who lives in Esenyurt, was determined to be the murderer. As a result of this, officers, who took action, went to Volkan A.’ home. He was put under surveillance by police officers.

Another transphobic crime happened in Istanbul in previous weeks. Asya Özgür, who ran to be a representative in local elections before, was attacked in Fındıkzade, where she works the night before. Özgür’s health is getting better.
