At Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, security attempted to confiscate the LGBTİ+ flag at the Politik Baykuş Fanzine stand and attacked the students.

At Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, private security units attacked students because an LGBTİ+ flag was displayed at the Politik Baykuş Fanzine stand prepared by students.
Security personnel claimed that students needed to get permission from the university administration to use the rainbow flag. Students stated that the rainbow flag is not banned.
Despite all the violence, students did not give up the rainbow flag. They reacted to the attack, saying: “We will not ask you what we can or cannot do at this university.”
Politik Baykuş posted the following statement on its social media account:
“As MSGSÜ students, the private security units attacked us for hanging our LGBTİQ+ flag on the Politik Baykuş Fanzine stand, which we prepared with collective effort, without any justification. But we did not give up our flag. Private security get out, Mimar Sinan is ours! Our existence cannot be suppressed, the wheel turns, resistance remains!”
