The court rejected the claim of the killer police Hicret, blaming Hande Buse Şeker and demanding to be investigated. The case was postponed to April 4, the pri-trial of the suspect will go on.

The second trial of the case, in which police officier Volkan Hicret who killed Hande Buse Şeker, was heard on December 30th at İzmir 4th Heavy Penal Court.

Attorney Mahmut Şeren on behalf of constituents, the detainee suspect and his lawyer attended to the trial. The hearing was postponed to April 4, on Monday at 11:00 am in regard to the incomplete report expected from legal medicine and lack of result of the warrant written to the Security.

Attorney Mahmut Şeren talked to kaosGL.org’a about the trial:

“The detainee suspect had two demands during the hearing. The first was a request to investigate Hande Buse Şeker’s involvement in the extortion gang and the criminal record of her. The other was a request to investigate whether the person, who was with the suspect on the day of the event, knew Hande Buse Şeker or not. Both of them were rejected by the Court as they were not relevant to the cause of action."

The hearing was postponed to April 4, on Monday at 11:00 am in regard to the incomplete report expected from legal medicine and lack of result of the warrant written to the Security. One of the expected report from legal medicine is related to the level of seriousness of the physical injury made by one of the trans women. And the other, the warrant was written to the Security, is related to the hearing of a witness, who testified some part of the event. The Court reached a verdict of continuation of detention.
