Hüseyin Yayman, AKP Hatay MP and Chairman of the Digital Media Commission, targeted LGBTI+'s again. Evaluating the agenda in an interview with TRT Haber, Yayman said, "If it is necessary to ban, we will ban. If it is necessary to narrow the band, we will narrow the band ‘ and targeted LGBTI+s through digital platforms.

Yayman used the expressions ‘desexualisation’ and ‘LGBT propaganda’ in his statement:

"We will put an end to de-sexing, LGBT propaganda on social media, stealing the future of our youth, and the use of certain values on social media that do not comply with the local and national values, customs and traditions of Turkish society. The knife is to the bone in this regard. Social media companies, especially Digital Media, need to organise themselves. Because this issue has become a matter of national security. Unfortunately, our children, girls, sons, daughters and families are breaking up at a very young age. Divorces and our children are unfortunately being held hostage by social media platforms. We are now at the end of our words. As the Turkish Grand National Assembly, we are ready to do our part on this issue. We will take steps by meeting with the relevant ministries, getting support from experts and looking at the US-EU examples."

Saying that families expect concrete steps on digital media, Yayman said:

"Families are being destroyed, homes are falling apart. It looks like an innocent game site. In chat rooms, secret rooms, hidden rooms, back platforms, interfaces, a blackmail mechanism that will lead them to suicide by using the identities and data of our children comes into play. Therefore, our attitude on this issue is clear, we will do whatever it takes. We never accept LGBT and desexualisation propaganda on social media and digital channels without any rules and limits. We know and recognise the upper mind that wants to take our youth hostage on social media."
