Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (HRFT) Documentation Center issued a fact sheet regarding the violation of rights against 2024 Pride Month events.

According to an fact sheet, Pride Month events faced significant restrictions and detentions:
· In Antalya, all protests and events were banned by the governorship for 15 days.
· In Istanbul, two events, one in Şişli and one in Kadıköy, were banned by district governors.
· On June 30, 2024, Istanbul Governorship declared that Taksim Square, Republic Monument, Gezi Park, Istiklal Street (and its side streets up to Tünel Square), and Karaköy Square (and its surroundings) would be closed to vehicle traffic, with pedestrian traffic controlled.
· As a result of police intervention against peaceful meetings and demonstrations within the scope of 2024 Pride Month, a total of 23 people were detained: 10 people in one event in Eskişehir, 13 people in two separate events in Istanbul. All detainees were released on the same day, with 5 of them being placed under judicial control conditions.
