“In Spite of Violence and Hate, Score Goals for Hope!”

Non-governmental organizations and Çankaya Municipality employees said “In Spite of Hate, Long Live Life!” in a friendly match on November 20.

A meaningful futsal match was held between civil society organizations and municipality employees. The match organized by Çankaya Municipality Women and Family Services Directorate Equality and Awareness Bureau was also attended by Çankaya Deputy Mayor Tutku Kurt Bayyurt.

Organized on November 20, Trans of Remembarence Day the match was held to draw attention to November 25, the Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women and to draw attention to hatred.

Before the starting whistle, Tutku Kurt Bayyurt kicked off the tournament by kicking the first ball. Bayyurt underlined that the aim of the event was to take a stance against violence and hatred and emphasized that she hoped equality would win in every field.

At the end of the match, Tutku Kurt Bayyurt presented the cups to Pink Life Association, Kaos GL and UniKuir associations and thanked them for their participation.

The futsal match, which was also organized last year, aims to raise awareness about social issues such as struggling violence against women and hate crimes.
