İnter Dayanışma was at the Civil Voices Festival Kaos GL - News Portal for LGBTI+

The issues related to civil society were discussed within the scope of the Civil Voices Festival carried out by the Association of Civil Society Development Center (STGM), with guests from Turkey and abroad, for two days.

The two-day festival, carried out at the campus of TED University between September 30 – October 1, hosted workshops, events, various exhibitions, panel discussions with guests from Turkey and abroad and stage performances.

İnterDayanışma (InterSolidarity), was among the non-governmental organizations opening a stand at the festival. Intersex activists talked about rights advocacy at the stand equipped with May 17 Association InterSolidarity brochures and intersex flags.

“Intersex Rights Advocacy Experience Transfer in Turkey” was among the outstanding events at the festival program. Intersex activists Belgin Günay, Zeynep Keskin and Yasemin Bahar talked within the context of the event, held on October 1. Past, present and future of intersex rights advocacy was discussed within the scope of the event.

At the event conducted by İnter Dayanışma, Intersex rights defenders sought an answer to these questions:

“How did intersex rights advocacy, which started as late as the late 2000s in Turkey, overcome the deep intersex invisibility?

What have we done so far?

What is our target?

What have we changed and what will we change?”
