Drawing: Stay at home Turkey

Akit, the sexist, transphobic, homophobic hate speech production, publication and provocation institution is now obsessed with the rainbows which were drawn and hung to windows by children while staying at home due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

On March 28th, the newspaper claimed that "LGBTI perverts who have taken on the duty to eradicate the Muslim Turkish family structure have taken action through children this time".

Why are the kids drawing rainbows?

In the days of quarantine due to the new coronavirus, İstanbul Modern Museum invited children to draw rainbows inspired by Sarkis's work "Rainbow".

Children who don't leave the house glue their rainbows to the windows of their homes and families share them on Instagram with the hashtag @istanbulmodern if they want. The museum brings together the rainbow drawn by children with the audience from its web page and social media accounts.

“Moral terrorists tried to promulgate their filthy ideas through children”

Akit's, which now haunts children's rainbows, claims about this project are as follows: "perverts trying to eradicate our family traditions", "teachers of some schools also supported the dirty campaign", "Moral terrorists tried to promulgate their filthy ideas through children"...
