Aydın LGBTI+ Solidarity participated in the İstanbul Convention rally in their city and said, “LGBT+ rights are human rights, we are not letting İstanbul Convention go”.
“The İstanbul Convention is Ours” rally was held on June 19 in Özgecan Arslan Park after the call of Aydın Women Solidarity Platform.
Aydın LGBTI+ Solidarity participated in the rally with rainbow and trans flags. Hikmet Hazer, a volunteer of Aydın LGBTI+ Solidarity took the floor during the rally.
Hazer said that the LGBTI+ rights are human rights, that they will not justify the withdrawal from the İstanbul Convention by criminalizing LGBTI+’s and that they will not let the İstanbul Convention go.
Aydın LGBTI+ Solidarity emphasized that they are against the marginalization policies of the government and that they are not letting the İstanbul Convention go.
