In 2009, TFF had banned the homosexual referee Halil İbrahim Dinçdağ unfairly from refereeing and had shared the information of his homosexuality with the press without his consent.

The 4th trial of the law suit that bring againist the Turkey Futbol Federation (TFF) by Halil İbrahim Dinçdağ was  held in Çağlayan Courthouse on February 7 2012. Dinçdağ has present a case because an  information that he is a homosexual, has leak to press under coercion.
 
The case was postponed because the witnesses were not attend and testify. The next hearing will be held on June 5, 2012 at 11:00.
 
The person who has not done their military duty becasue of any sickness, the TFF disapprove  these people to become referee. Counterclaim lawyer Fırat Söyle emphasized that it should be noteworthy that homosexuality is not a disease. Söyle indicates that the Federation realize its mistake afterward.He also expressed that becasue of the age limit, Dinçdağ has lost the right of ranking ascent therefore Dinçdağ is become aggrieved.

Since then, Dinçdağ has opened pecuniary and nonpecuniary case againist the TFF since he is unable to practice his profession and his legal struggle is supported by LGBT organizations.
