Kaos GL Association asked the Ministry of Labour and Social Security what is being done to increase the participation of LGBTI+'s in the labour market.

Kaos GL asked the Ministry of Labour: What are you doing about discrimination against LGBTI+s in the labour market? Kaos GL - News Portal for LGBTI+

Kaos GL Association made an information request to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security.

In its application for information through the Presidential Communication Centre (CİMER), the association asked whether the ministry has any programmes, projects and policies to increase the participation of LGBTI+'s in the labour market and to combat discrimination.

In addition, the association's application for information also included the number of complaints made to the ministry with the allegation of discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation in the workplace and the results of the complaints.

The association also asked the ministry whether any data is kept on the rate of LGBTI+ employees benefiting from unemployment insurance and asked the ministry whether a special arrangement is made to facilitate LGBTI+'s access to insurance.

In the application for access to information, it was also asked whether there is a special regulation or communication work to encourage LGBTI+'s to benefit from vocational training and reskilling programmes.

The association asked whether there is an audit criterion to prevent discrimination based on gender identity and sexual orientation in labour audits conducted within the framework of the Labour Law:

‘Can you provide information about the sanctions your Ministry has imposed in relation to such allegations of discrimination?’
