Kaos GL Magazine’s latest issue “Nonviolence” is out! Kaos GL - News Portal for LGBTI+

March-April 2024 issue of Kaos GL Magazine was published based on the theme of “Nonviolence”. The editorial of the magazine is as follows:

“Nonviolence encompasses a spectrum of attitudes, behaviors, and lifestyles where violence is consciously avoided. While historically associated with political movements like nonviolent action and resistance, the concept of nonviolence has been interpreted in various ways across different philosophical, religious, and ethical frameworks. Defining nonviolence can be complex, often influenced by our cultural backgrounds and ideologies. However, examining the history of feminist and LGBTI+ movements reveals numerous instances of creative resistance and organization against heteropatriarchal systems through nonviolent means.

In the ‘Nonviolence’ issue of Kaos GL, we delve into the concept of nonviolence, exploring its meaning and various manifestations throughout history. What is nonviolence? What are examples of nonviolent actions and struggles from the history of resistance? What does nonviolent action mean for the LGBTI+ movement? What is the significance of nonviolent organizing models for civil society? Can we talk about a single type of nonviolence, what are the types of nonviolence? Is a world without violence possible? These and many other questions are discussed within the the ‘Nonviolence’ issue of Kaos GL Magazine.
