May Day was celebrated in Maltepe Event Area in İstanbul. Political parties, trade unions and professional organizations started to march in cortege to the event area in the morning hours.

LGBTI+s marching with the feminists, unfurled the banner written “Long live sex workers! Don’t shame them, praise them” on. Even though the police attempted to prevent their entrance, feminist solidarity hurdled the police blockage.

LGBTI+s took place in the cortege of Workers’ Party of Turkey (TİP) too. TİP LGBTI+ Commission marched with rainbow flags and chanted “Where are you my darling / love?” slogans. Esmeray Özadikti, parliamentary candidate from TİP in İstanbul 2nd electoral district, also marched with the commission.
