Kaos GL Association submitted an information request to the Ministry of Interior through the Presidential Communication Center (CİMER).

In its request, the association asked for separate yearly data on the number of active associations, the number of associations inspected, and the number of associations that were either subjected to administrative fines or reported to the Public Prosecutor's Office for further action in the years 2017, 2018, and 2019.

The General Directorate of Civil Society Relations, which operates under the Ministry, left the association’s request unanswered, stating that it required "a separate study."

In its response, the Directorate stated:

"As per Article 7 of Law No. 4982 on the Right to Information, the requested information can only be obtained through a separate and special study, research, examination, or analysis. Therefore, we are unable to respond to your request."
