Sırrı Süreyya Önder, Green Left Party İstanbul 1st district parliamentary candidate, drew attention to discrimination against LGBTI+s, within the scope of his speech at the spring fest organized by Green Left party in Kadıköy.

Having signed the LGBTI+ Rights Convention prepared by Social Policies, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD), Önder drew attention both to the convention and discrimination against LGBTI+s within the scope of the speech he made.

According to the news coverage of Tuğçe Yılmaz from Bianet Önder said the followings:

“They made a classification in their way, and they disregard Alevi, Armenian, Kurdish, LGBTI+ people, they ignore everyone who doesn’t fit their perspective – by the way I have just signed LGBTI+ Rights Convention and I did it with a great honor. I urge everyone to avoid the mentality which is prone to marginalize and even the worse to keep nose clean. This is my primary call.”
