Representatives from SPoD met with MPs from the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP), who signed the LGBTI+ Rights Convention before the elections.

Representatives from Social Policies, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD) visited Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party (HEDEP) on October 16th at the parliament.

HEDEP Mersin MP Perihan Koca, İzmir MP Burcugül Çubuk, Diyarbakır MP Sevilay Çelenk, İstanbul MPs Kezban Konukçu and Sırrı Sürayya Önder, who signed the LGBTI+ Rights Convention before the elections, welcomed the representatives of the association..

The meeting was an exchange of ideas on current political developments, constitutional debates and the political content of LGBTI+ hostility in the process of the institutionalization of fascism.

HEDEP and SPoD discussed the possibilities of cooperation in terms of LGBTI+ struggle.
