David Adler, the General Coordinator of the Progressive International visited Kaos GL and obtained information on LGBTI+ rights in Turkey.
The General Coordinator of the Progressive International David Adler visited Kaos GL in the scope of their program in Turkey.
Meeting with Kaos GL Board Member Remzi Altunpolat and Kaos GL Assistant General Coordinator Yıldız Tar, Adler explained the work and establishment process of the Progressive International. Adler said they are closely monitoring the situation of LGBTI+ rights in Turkey.
Tar and Altunpolat informed Adler about the experiences and bans against the LGBTI+ rights since 2015, the criminalization attempt against the rainbow flag and the withdrawal from the İstanbul Convention.
The meeting ended with wishes for solidarity.
