The book titled Hayatın Renkleri (Colours of Life), prepared by the Association of Families and Friends of LGBTI+ in Turkey (LISTAG), has been published. The book focuses on the difficulties and struggles experienced by LGBTI+ persons and their families.

LISTAG announced the book, which emerged during the Storytelling Workshop organized for LGBTI+ families in Antalya in May under the guidance of director, actress, and dramaturg Berfin Zenderlioğlu, with the following statement:
“Colours of Life is the outcome of the storytelling workshop we organized for LGBTI+ families in Antalya in May under the guidance of director, actress and dramaturg Berfin Zenderlioğlu. In this workshop, we brought together the experiences of LGBTI+ persons and their families, exploring emotional depths and stories that touch the heart. Each story invites the reader to develop empathy and understanding for others, while provoking deep thought. In our book you will find many sincere and powerful stories, from a mother’s process of admitting her child’s sexual identity to a father’s unwavering support for his son.”
The book, edited by Yasemin Zeynep Başaran, contains 25 true stories.
A part of the editorial of the book is as follows:
“The characters in this book are real, the authors are real, the experiences are real. Each story is the story of a real person. Written collaboratively around a table during a two-day Storytelling Workshop organized in Antalya under the guidance of Berfin Zenderlioğlu, with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands on the weekend of Mother’s Day in May 2024, these stories await readers as powerful narratives that invite us to question the concept of ‘truth’ we accept without questioning.”
