Meta has shut down Istanbul Trans Pride Week's Instagram account three days before the start. Events will be announced on the new account.
Days before the 11th Trans Pride Week, the week's Instagram account was censored. Instagram's affiliate Meta shut down the page on the grounds that it “did not comply with community standards”.
Following the closure of the account, Istanbul LGBTI+ Pride Week said, "Istanbul Trans Pride Week's Instagram page has been closed. We are following, we will inform you. 11th Trans Pride Week cannot be stopped. Wait for the event calendar, my love. Delay is the glory of lubunya".
Trans Pride Week's new Instagram page is now live. Trans Pride Week will announce its event calendar on @transonurhaftasi page instead of the shut down @transprideistanbul page.

The 2025 program of the annual Trans Pride Week is also full. Many panels, talks and workshops will be held during the week. Trans Pride March will take place on Sunday, June 22nd.
Starting on June 16, Trans Pride Week announced the events to be held during the week with a statement titled “Communiqué of Notification”. Within the scope of the program, there will be many events on topics such as Family Year, peace, HIV/AIDS activism, sex work, mourning, trans solidarity networks. Event details will be announced in the near future.
