The LGBTI+ community in Ankara is united against the anti-LGBTI+ rallies: We understand you are using the family as a facade to attack the lives of LGBTI+ persons. We do not submit to this!
The LGBTI+ community in Ankara has protested the hateful anti-LGBTI+ rally in Ankara. Following the rallies in different cities, The LGBTI+ community in Ankara has gathered at the Human Rights Association of Ankara: “Against their hatred, we grow stronger through all the LGBTIs fighting for freedom and equality and more importantly through our solidarity.”
May 17 Association, Rainbow Families of Ankara, Youth Committees, Halkevleri LGBTI Commission, METU LGBTIQAA+ Community, Queer AYBÜ, Kaos GL, Mersin University LGBTI Community, UniKuir, Turkish Medical Association Student Community have attended today’s press briefing.
In the press briefing, it is stated: “The LGBTI+ community in Ankara is united against the anti-LGBTI rallies. We are well aware that you are using the family as a facade to attack the lives of the LGBTI. We do not submit to this!”
