KaosGL.org Editor-in-Chief Yıldız Tar shared a message through lawyers: "We are in good spirits inside. I wish you to continue your struggle for equality and freedom instead of worrying outside."
On 18 February, KaosGL.org Editor-in-Chief Yıldız Tar was arrested by the 6th Criminal Judicature of Peace after being detained from home in Ankara within the scope of the operation against the Peoples' Democratic Congress. Erkin Barın Göylüler, who works in the field of LGBTI+ rights, KaosGL.org writer Ayşe Panuş and journalists Elif Akgül and Ercüment Akdeniz are among those arrested.
KaosGL.org Editor-in-Chief Yıldız Tar, who was transferred to prison after the arrest decision, shared a message through lawyers:
"This is a blatant conspiracy case. Equality and freedom are on trial. We are facing an operation and an arrest warrant that shows that the struggle for LGBTI+ rights is specifically targeted. We are in good spirits inside. I wish you to continue the struggle for equality and freedom instead of worrying outside. Many thanks to everyone for their support and solidarity. I look forward to meeting you, my dear readers, as soon as possible with news from prison, my columns and most importantly my fashion reviews."
