Organized by Kaos GL Association, the event titled “Rewriting the Body” will be held online.
This year's Feminist Forum, organized by Kaos GL, will host queer theorist Paul B. Preciado. The online event will take place on November 7th at 20.00.
The event aims to have an in-depth discussion on gender identity, body politics and biopolitical processes. Based on Preciado's book Testo Junkie: sex, drugs, and biopolitics in the pharmacopornographic era, translated into Turkish by Gökçe Yiğitel, the meeting will focus on the transformative effects of hormone use on gender identity and the rewriting of the body through biopolitical interventions.
The forum will be opened by Kaos GL Academic and Cultural Studies Program Coordinator Aylime Aslı Demir and moderated by Gülkan Noir. The event will be in English with simultaneous translation into Turkish
