International Press Institute released the press report at the 100th anniversary of the republic Kaos GL - News Portal for LGBTI+

The International Press Institute (IPI) has published a report summarizing the main highlights of the turbulent media history of the 100-year-old Turkish Republic.

In the report “Zafer Biraz da Hasar İster (Victory also Requires a Little Damage)”, edited by Selin Uğurtaş, journalists describe what happened in the Turkish media under the headings of political challenges, diversity challenges, and commercial and technological challenges.

In the report, Yıldız Tar describes the difficulties faced by LGBTI+ journalists. Within the scope of the interview with journalists Tar says: “For LGBTI+ journalists, struggling becomes a part of their work.”

In the interview, journalists Sibel Yükler, Burcu Karakaş, Ahmet Buğra Tokmakoğlu, Aslı Alpar and Deniz discuss LGBTI+ journalists and LGBTI+ representation in the media.
