Kaos GL will consult on homophobic attitudes and discrimination in education in the field of UNESCO Education Department.
 
As UN’s unit in the fields of science, education and culture, UNESCO does worldwide researches and added Kaos GL on the consultancy list that they work together on the fields of study. Kaos GL will consult in the field of UNESCO Education Department.
 
The field of education has been one of the priority areas of work since the majority of those who were organized in Kaos GL were young employees and students since 1994. Especially for the last 6 years, intensive programmes and broadcasts have been organized by educators and students on discrimination in the field of education. Kaos GL presented these experiences to the Education Department during the international development policies which were carried out by UNESCO center and gained the legal status of consultancy on 28 October 2011 officially.
 
Kaos GL will participate in the Global Education Conference
UNESCO will host Kaos GL for the first time in the Global Education Conference which is organized every year. Social Psychologist Prof. Dr. Melek Göregenli who is a member of board of Kaos GL and the head of the consultative board, will participate in the conference on behalf of Kaos GL. The conference will be held in Rio de Janerio, Brasil between the dates 6-9 December. In the context of the conference, the homophobic bullying will be discussed and intervention manuals will be created in order to be used against it.
 
The list in question is formed from relevant ministries and research councils of 195 member states. Kaos GL is one of the organizations that are on the list with their non-governmental identities. In addition, Kaos GL will be the organization that will consult on homophobic attitudes and discrimination in education on behalf of Turkey.
