Kaos GL Training For Psychological Counseling and Guidance Teachers in Diyarbakır

The human rights training with the theme of ‘homophobia and discrimination’ for Psychological Counseling and Guidance Teachers was held on 29th of October, Saturday.

 

Kaos GL who organizes trainings against homophobic and transphobic discrimination, held the training that was organized for Psychological Counseling and Guidance Teachers, in Diyarbakır, Sümer Park Reception Hall.

 

Yasemin Şafak, from PDR-ÇA-DER and Diyarbakır Education Union made a presentation titled ‘Working with LGBT Students and Family at School’. The other topics of the one-day training are as follows:

 

Prof. Dr. Melek Göregenli, a social psychologist from Ege University  made a presentation titled ‘The Relationship Between Homophobia, Conservatism and Nationalism’. Associated Professor Dr.Tuğrul Erbaydar from Ankara University Medical Faculty Department of Public Health made a presentation titled ‘Sexual Rights and Discrimination’.

 

Ali Erol from Kaos GL Association elucidated the process  of ‘ The Course Of Homosexuality and Struggle Against Inequality From Illness to Legal Claim’ and ‘ The Issues of LGBT Students’

 

The programme titled ‘Homophobia in Education and LGBT Individuals’ took place in Diyarbakır on Saturday with the contributions of Fiedrich Ebert Stiftung Association.

 

Kaos GL has organized two other trainings for teachers from Education Union with the contributions of 5th and 2nd branc offices of Ankara Education Union.
