Kaos GL will organize a football match and forum titled ‘Football Against Discrimination’ on the last day of its 4th Regional Network Meeting beginning March 15 in Ankara.
Kaos GL will organize a football match and forum titled “Football Against Discrimination” on the last day of its 4th Regional Network Meeting beginning March 15 in Ankara.
Participants from the 18 countries who will attend the Meeting and staff from various embassies, will come together to play a solidarity match. Halil İbrahim Dinçdağ, who lost his job as a result of his sexuality, will referee the game, which will be held in TED Koleji Closed Football Field at 14:00.
How About Discussing Discrimination Through Football?
Following the match, the Football Against Discrimination Forum will open the issue of discrimination in football in the presence of relevant organizations. FARE (Football Against Discrimination in Europe) Executive Director Piara Power, England’s Lou Englefilled of “Football vs. Homophobia” and Croatia’s Zeljko Blace of “qSPORT” will give talks during the forum, as will referee Hakem Dinçdağ, who will discuss the discrimination he faced in the workplace.
Football Against Discriminations Forum will be held in Ankara University between 15:30 and 17:30.
