The EIDHR Forum 2013 will take place from April 16 to 17 with the participation of many human rights defenders, including LGBTI activists from across the globe.

The EIDHR Forum 2013 will take place from April 16 to 17 with the participation of many human rights defenders, including LGBTI activists from across the globe.
 
The EIDHR Forum focuses on the concrete implementation of the European Instrument for Democracy and Human Rights (EIDHR). This event will bring together NGOs that are beneficiaries or potential beneficiaries of the instrument. It allows for discussion about experiences, lessons learnt and best practices to improve the EIDHR operational support available for NGOs.
 
This year’s gathering will focus on Bahrain, North Korea, the indigenous peoples of the world, LGBTI rights, violence against girls, the media, the situations facing human rights defenders, Eritrea, and Turkmenistan.
 
The LGBTI session will take place on April 16 from 15:00 to 18:00. Nevin Öztop, representatative of Kaos GL, will speak about the challanges faced and opportunities found in running two LGBTI media organs, kaosgl.org and Kaos GL Magazine.
