LGBTs United for a Democratic Constitution!

Gökkuşağı (Rainbow) Coalition Against Discrimination invited LGBT individuals to deliver their opinions individually and organizationally to Constitution Compromise Comission.

Non-governmental organizations and citizens will be able to convey their opinions and suggestions regarding the new constitution process through http://yenianayasa.tbmm.gov.tr until December 31st, 2011.

 

LGBT Organizations have been carrying out various campaigns in order to establish the terms “sexual orientation” and “gender identity” in the equality article of the Turkish constitution and to stop discrimination against LGBT citizens. The foundation of a democratic and egalitarian constitution is only possible with the participation of all of the society.

 

The website, http://yenianayasa.tbmm.gov.tr, is giving a chance to LGBT citizens to deliver their opinions, although the efficient participation mechanisms are not sufficiently developed.

 

You may support the demands of LGBT organizations with your individual opinions and demonstrate that LGBT demands are social demands!
