The Swedish Green party is organizing a panel in the old Swedish Parliament today to discuss how to improve LGBT rights in Eastern Europe.

The Swedish Green party is organizing a panel in the old Swedish Parliament today to discuss how to improve LGBT rights in Eastern Europe. The program prepared by the Nordic queer cultural workers Tupilak will deal with the future strategies to tackle homophobia and transphobia in the region.
 
Poland’s first openly gay MP Robert Biedron and Swedish Liberal People’s Party’s Barbro Westerholm who helped homosexuality be dropped from the list of mental health diseases in 1979 will give speeches in the panel. Besides participants from Russia, Azerbaijan and Belarus, media coordinator for Kaos GL, Ömer Akpınar will talk about the current political situation in Turkey and Kaos GL’s works.
