Thaci said the Kosovo Constitution ensures that no citizen will be discriminated on ethnic, gender, religious or sexual orientation bases.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo condemned the Friday evening attacks of several extremist groups against the launch of the last issue of the Kosovo 2.0 magazine, "for endangering public order and the rights to free speech and free movement, and the freedom of the media".

He expressed the following concern: "The violence and threats displayed by these groups on Friday evening, and even during the following days, against the organiser of this publication and the editorial staff of the magazine are unacceptable and intolerable in a modern and democratic state".

The Constitution and Laws of the Republic of Kosovo, said Thaci, are the guarantee that any citizen of the Republic of Kosovo has the right to free speech, and they also ensure that no citizen will be discriminated on ethnic, gender, religious or sexual orientation bases.

He than assured that "the Government of the Republic of Kosovo is dedicated to upholding human, political, and religious rights and freedoms, by respecting and protecting all constitutional categories from discrimination, steaming from our legal obligation and leading principles of all the institutions and political spectrum that support the European Integration agenda".

Thaci urged the law and order institutions "to find the authors of these violent attacks and put them in front of justice".
