LGBTI+ organizations attended Civil Voices Festival, which is held by STGM with the aim of bringing together civil society in Turkey. Kaos GL’s stand was at the festival.
Civil Voices Festival, which is one of the first events that brings together rights-based organizations in Turkey and held by Association of Civil Society Development Center (STGM) was organized in İzmir Kültür Park on November 17 and 18, this year.
Kaos GL Association planned two events for the festival this year. Umut Güven’s “Imagination Talks” was held on November 17th. However Aslı Alpar’s Cartoon Workshop was cancelled with all the other events planned to be organized on November 18th due to heavy rain.
Rights-based organizations from various provinces were present at the festival. Kaos GL, Social Policy Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD), Hevi LGBTI+, Young LGBTI+, May 17 Association, Bursa Free Colors and LISTAG (Families and Friends of LGBTI+s in İstanbul) were among the participant organizations fighting for LGBTI+ rights.
