Social Policy, Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation Studies Association (SPoD) announced that it had to take an “indefinite break” from its consultancy activities due to the decrease in grants available to rights-based civil society organizations.
The association's social work and legal counseling will end at the end of December, and psychological counseling will end at the end of January for an indefinite period of time. Peer counseling by volunteers through the LGBTI+ Hotline will continue.
In the statement made by SPoD, it was emphasized that financial difficulties forced this decision, but the search for resources continues. “It is of great importance for you to support SPoD in this difficult time,” the association said.
