Turkish National TV channel TRT has taken the decision not to broadcast the semi-final and final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2013. TRT authorities said “Turkey is not in Eurovision this year so we thought that the show would not bring in ratings. That’s why we made this decision.”

The decision was made after the singer representing Finland enacted a lesbian kiss in protest, which provoked the rebirth of the censorship debate in Turkey. The decision raises questions about TRT’s approach to same-sex relationships.

In case the move is final, you can watch Eurovision online on the contest’s official website. Moreover, you can share your opinions about the decision using the hashtag #Eurovision.
