"I was called a Georgian. I apologize for this, but they even said [something] worse: They called me an Armenian. But I’m a Turk" the Turkish PM said on a TV show yesterday.

The ruling party’s candidate for the Presidential elections to be held on August 10, Erdogan answered the questions of Oguz Haksever on a joint broadcast of NTV and Star TV.

When reminded of his previous statement “Kilicdaroglu [the main opposition leader], you are Alevi, I am Sunni. Just say it. And Demirtas [the Presidential candidate for Peoples’ Democratic Party], you are Zazaki. Don’t be afraid to say it”, Erdogan said the following:

"I was called a Georgian. I apologize for this, but they even said [something] worse: They called me an Armenian. But I’m a Turk."

Being a minority is the worst for Erdogan!

Erdogan had previously got angry about the claims that he has Jewish, Armenian or Greek origins.

He had had his party boo Kilicdaroglu by saying “you know that he is Alevi” in a speech, too.
