In the Friday khutbah of Presidency of Religious Affairs read in all mosques, there were hateful and discriminative statements targeting LGBTI+’s.
In the Friday khutbah of Turkish Religious Affairs which was read in all mosques, there were hateful and discriminative statements: “Any efforts intervening in sex and calling for sex differences prepare individuals as well as whole generation for disaster”, “Our God tell us that many tribes had been perished due to moral deteriorations and deviance”.
After the Head of Presidency of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Ali Erbaş’s hate speech against LGBTI+s recently, today LGBTI+ are targeted with Friday khutbahs in mosques all over the country.
Following statements are written in and read during the Friday khutbah:
“Family is the most precious institution that helps both woman and man to protect their modesty, respectability and rights. Family life build up peace and trust bonds among us. Any kind of attitude, thought ignoring and damaging family structure are actually targeting our social bonds.”
Fundamental rights and freedoms are targeted!
Targeting the fundamental rights and freedoms, Religious Affairs has called sexual freedoms as “damage for people, cost for society”.
“Marriage is the rule of God. Marriage means happiness and responsibility for men and women. Affairs out of marriage and “free attitudes” tried to be represented as “sexual freedom” are far from protecting the rights and dignity of man and woman.”
“God determined our nation, color, our life as well as our sex. It is a sin to play with our creation. Any efforts intervening in sex and calling for sex differences prepare individuals as well as whole generation for disaster. Representing choosing your own sex as an individual freedom is the ignorance of God’s will. Any religion and belief has rejected and cursed such understanding.”
“Nations can sustain with religion and moral values. If you would damage these values, society would start to be dissolved. Our God tell us that many tribes had been perished due to moral deteriorations and deviance”
In the Friday khutbah, Religious Affairs also addressed the People of Lut and used their discriminative and hateful speech with reference to them:
“Dear Believers! We have to take the lesson from these perished tribes. We have to live a modest life. We have to stay away from any deformity and extremism that may harm our honour. In order to raise a healthy youth, we have to educate our children and youth against pervert attitudes.”
