Young LGBT Activists Meeting Up in Thessaloniki!

BA.R.CO.D.E.: Evaluation and networking meeting for young LGBT activists in Thessaloniki is taking place between 8-13 January 2013.

 

Thessaloniki Pride in cooperation with the United Societies of the Balkans today, Tuesday, 8 Jan. 2013, welcomes in Thessaloniki 32 young LGBT activists from southeast Europe and beyond, who will participate in the 6-day international meeting BA.R.CO.D.E. (Balkans Rainbow Colourful Dawn Emerges). The participants will evaluate their activities and strengthen their in-between network, setting concrete goals for the future, even examining the prospects for a Balkan Pride.

 

In the framework of BA.R.CO.D.E., an open gala evening will take place on Saturday, 12 Jan., at 19:00 at Vergina Hotel. It will be attended by representatives of local and foreign authorities, as well as of civil society, who will discuss about support and/or opposition by state actors and civil society to the LGBT movement.
