Daily Vakit Newspaper Attacks The Turkish Poet For His Homosexuality

The Turkish Writers Union condemns daily Vakit for attacking poet Kucuk Iskender for his homosexuality and demands a formal apology both for the poet and the homosexual community.

The Turkish Writers Union (TYS) condemns daily Vakit and the internet site of habervaktim.com for making writer Kucuk Iskender a target of hatred.

According to the TYS, first Vakit attacked the poet for his participation in a Poem Night organized for the Turkish activities of the International Frankfurt Book Fair, where Turkey is the guest country.
