The date of the 17th Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transvestite and Transsexual (LGBTT) Pride Week in Turkey has been announced.

Starting on 22 June, there will be workshops, panels, films and theatre performances, as well as concerts and parties.

For the fifth time, the Hormone Tomatoes awards will be presented in order to draw attention to homophobia and transphobia.

The week will end with a Pride March on Istiklal Street in Istanbul on 28 March.

In the last years, the programme has been supported by many rights activists, politicians, singers and lawyers, from Turkey and abroad.
